REA NEPHRAVISTA

Rea began her environmental activism in 2013 with the case of the Sharra landfill in Tirana, located near her childhood neighbourhood.
She remained active on environmental issues until 2018, when she became involved as a volunteer in the campaign to protect Valbona Valley National Park from the construction of hydropower plants on the river. For two years, together with other activists, she helped organise a large and multifaceted national campaign against hydropower construction inside protected areas along the Valbona River.
Rea is also part of the new feminist movement in Albania, working to raise awareness about gender equality in the country. She is a member of a feminist collective and contributes to a series of publications, journals, and research on feminism.
