The project enabled the renovation of the youth club, an institution with a 33-year legacy that has long been the central gathering place for young people in Bela Krajina. Due to the deteriorated condition of the premises, the space required extensive refurbishment to once again provide a safe, welcoming environment for socializing, creativity, and cultural activities.
A diverse program was organized to attract and actively engage the local youth. Activities included performances and exhibitions by young local artists, sustainability-themed quizzes, and educational workshops focused on environmental awareness and responsible lifestyles.
The renovation itself was carried out with a strong emphasis on sustainability, aiming to reduce the club’s environmental footprint in the long term.
By promoting eco-friendly practices through hands-on learning—such as waste reduction, upcycling, and energy conservation—the club has become a collective learning environment. Young people not only benefit from a renewed, greener space, but are also inspired to carry these sustainable habits into their everyday lives.
