Romania
Students from the “Jean Bart” and “Ion Creangă” High Schools—located in Tulcea and Sulina (Tulcea County)—were engaged through a dynamic mix of public events, creative workshops, and a youth ideas contest. The initiative encouraged young people to reflect on their environmental footprint and propose concrete solutions for better resource and waste management at home, in school, and across their communities.
Two public awareness events—a Graphic Facilitation action and a Flash Mob—mobilized students in the city center, while two workshops using informal education methods (World Café, Open Space, Graphic Facilitation) helped them explore climate challenges and co-design practical responses. The ideas contest culminated in the creation of the Youth Green Book, an electronic good-practice guide published exclusively in a digital format to align with sustainability principles.
Organized by the Asociația Centrul European pentru Diversitate, the project successfully raised awareness, fostered active citizenship, and promoted the circular economy, waste management, and environmental protection.
