Tarek Ezzine is a medical student from Tunis, Tunisia, with a strong interest in global health and environmental health challenges. His work as a climate advocate reflects a growing commitment to addressing climate-related issues and promoting sustainability. He currently serves as Lead for Climate Resources at Health Education Partnerships, where he focuses on fostering collaborations and initiatives that connect climate action and healthcare. He is also involved in international climate diplomacy as a junior climate negotiator for the Tunisian Party to the UNFCCC, contributing to discussions that shape global climate policy.

Since 2019, Tarek has been an ambassador for the African Youth Climate Hub, helping to amplify youth voices and support climate action across the continent. His engagement in global health advocacy began early on, including his role as Global Health Focal Point for the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth, where he worked to promote health equity at the global level.

Alongside these commitments, he has developed strong leadership experience through positions such as Vice President for External Affairs at Associamed and President of both Rotaract and Interact. These roles have allowed him to contribute to initiatives at the intersection of health, climate, and youth empowerment.

Now a member of the Y-ACT Youth Steering Committee, Tarek brings experience in global health advocacy, climate negotiation, and youth leadership. His perspective and commitment to addressing the challenges facing young people in Africa support the committee’s work to drive positive change and empower the next generation.
